Annual Pre-Kwanzaa Celebration and Dinner
Join us to discover the beauty and inspiration of Kwanzaa. All are welcome!
KWANZAA, is a seven-day holiday, commemorating African American cultural values. The serious attention to the seven values and principles of this holiday, serve to equip members of that culture to engage in healthy interaction with diverse members of the community. Kwanzaa, introduced in 1966 by University of California (Davis) scholar, Dr. Maulana Karenga, is at its core, what might be called a compendium of best practices.
The service will be led by Dr. David Anderson, guest Lecturer in History and Political Science. If you would like to take part in the service as a reader please respond to this email. Thank you!
This event is free and open to members of the Nazareth community.
Sponsored by the Office for Diversity and Inclusive Excellence and the Center for Spirituality.
