October 20th Update
Dear Families,
We can hardly believe we are in the latter half of October. There continues to be wonderful things happening at the middle school, and we look forward to sharing some of that great work and seeing families at our upcoming Fall Conferences on November 10th. Also coming up is a Spirit Week and Veterans Day fundraiser sponsored by our Student Council. All proceeds from our Spirit Week dress up days will be donated to benefit local veterans. More information about conferences and our upcoming Spirit Week are found below.
Printed picture day photos are due to arrive soon, and a picture retake day has been scheduled for November 12th. Also speaking of pictures, check out a photo of our September MMS Students of the Month below! Congratulations to all and thank you for emulating our school motto, the 3- R's: "Ready, Respectful, and Responsible."
Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions and thank you, as always, for your support of our school.
Best,
Kelly Grantham
Principal

Conferences are Coming!
Appointment Sign-Up: Conferences will be booked through Synergy Conference Scheduler, which is located in your ParentVUE account and will be used across our District schools. Homeroom teachers will email families once their signup is open. The RSU 57 Technology Department created a helpful Synergy Conference Scheduler resource for families, too.
Last year's virtual conferences allowed us to spend more time with each family, and families loved the travel convenience. If you are not able to access a virtual format, please contact the Guidance Office and we can schedule an alternative.
October Spirit Week...in honor of Veterans Day!
- Monday, 10/25: Movie or Book Character Day
- Tuesday, 10/26: Hat Day
- Wednesday, 10/27: Decade Day
- Thursday, 10/28: Mismatch Day
- Friday, 10/29: Pajama Day
Visit the MMS Website for upcoming dates, our Family Handbook, and other information.
Winter Activity Updates
At this time we are not running a MMS Winter Ski Bus. We have less control over its format and structure, and yet all of the same health, safety, and contact tracing responsibilities as on-campus activities. We look forward to Ski Bus returning in the future!
RSU 57 has multiple Special Education Ed Tech openings in our schools. This is a great way to enter into education and make a powerful impact on the lives of our learners. No experience is necessary and training is provided. Click the link to join!
From our RSU 57 Nurses
A reminder that RSU 57 school nurses now have the capability to do BinaxNow Rapid Covid-19 testing at school. Parent consent is required to do a rapid test, so if you are interested, review the previously emailed information letter and electronic consent form here.
As always, please keep students home when they are unwell and call the Main Office to report the absence. Remember to do a daily pre-screening prior to attending school! Be well.
