The holidays are here!!!

Our Classroom's Holiday Party

Before we left for Thanksgiving break, the students and I went around the room and asked what winter holiday everyone celebrated at home. A majority of the students answered with Christmas, but since some of them answered with other holidays, our holiday party will be themed as such. I will be sending a letter home later this week with a list of items that we will need for our party, I will also highlight the item that I wish your family to bring for us.

Our holiday party will be December 18th starting at 1:00 pm and go until it is time to leave. Parents are more than welcome to join us for the festivities.

We will be doing tons of holiday themed stuff during the next two weeks as well. We will be making an origami penguin, writing letters to Santa, Holiday Harry and other holiday icons, and there will be many holiday coloring pages for your kids to bring home to you.

We will be reading a few books:

~ Frosty the snowman By Diane Muldrow

~The Joy of Giving By Jan and Mike Berenstain

~ The Polar Express By Chris Van Allsburg

Also, in preparation for our holiday party, the kids will put together some fun art projects that will be displayed around the room and they will put on a short holiday play just for you.

PLEASE REMEMBER: We will still be having snack time and show and share so please remember to check your calendar to see when it's your child's turn.
