Students Beautify the Grounds
Just before the frost, some second-graders headed to the Sprague grounds to plant bulbs that they expect to bloom into daffodils and scilla in the spring. Close to 500 bulbs were planted this fall.
“My mom was known for her beautiful flowers and, growing up, my yard in Lincolnshire was filled with clumps of yellow daffodils and purplish/blue scilla every spring. As a way to honor her memory (she passed away on Sept. 17, 2019) I want to leave a legacy of beauty at Sprague,” said Sue Vani, a second-grade teacher.
Please visit the school's Facebook page or Google Doc folder for pictures of the school activity.

For boards of education, the recent challenges and difficult choices during the pandemic go beyond routine educational decisions. While continuing to ensure students have quality learning opportunities, board members must also consider their decisions in terms of the health and safety of students, teachers, and community members.
"Board of Education members are volunteers who give up their personal and family time to take the lead on tough decisions that affect not only our schools, but the entire community. Their choices impact many aspects of our daily lives, and the service allows the District 103 community to grow and thrive," said Dr. Scott Warren, District 103 Superintendent.
The Lincolnshire-Prairie View District 103 Board of Education has provided strong leadership to help create a positive learning environment for our students to learn and grow. We appreciate their hard work and dedication to our students, staff, families and community.

Second Vaccine Clinic for Ages 5 to Adult
Our next clinic is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 4, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sprague School. First and second doses for Pfizer (ages 5 and above), Moderna (ages 18 and above) and a single dose for Johnson and Johnson (ages 18 and above) along with vaccine booster shots for adults who are eligible will be available. To register for a vaccine, please click the link below:
Please note that the 8:00 a.m. time listed on the registration is the start time for the clinic, not your scheduled time to receive the vaccine. There are no assigned times. Drop-in anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The clinics are being organized by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). The clinic is not exclusive to D103 schools and families, and we will have walk-ins from our community. Because we do not run the clinic, we cannot guarantee a time slot. Therefore, we will not have scheduled times for this clinic. Please note that the busiest times at the last clinic were between 8:00-10:00 a.m., with a 2 hour wait time. People who arrived after 11:00 a.m. had no more than a 25-minute wait. Individuals who arrived after 1:00 p.m. had almost no wait at all. Please be prepared to wait in line if you arrive in the morning.
