*The actual program will start in the PAC (auditorium) at 6:30 PM with the Mayor, Superintendent, followed by magician Ken Dumm

Fundraising Opportunity - Sock Concepts

Below is some information about a sock fundraiser. Its a fun way to raise some money and have students show some school spirit! Franklin HS and Churchill HS both sold these socks and it was a simple fundraiser to run and the product was great!

Thanks for our time. We make custom design socks and work with school PTAs/PTSAs to use socks as fundraising idea, and generate some excitement within their school communities.

Attached is a brochure that explains what we do. Attached are also pictures of a couple of sock designs and a sock order form the PTA used for its fundraiser.

If you are interested, below is the process to get a sock fundraiser going..

  1. I will need the school Logo and colors. For the logo, a jpeg, or any other form of picture image will work.
  2. Some ideas from your team on the sock designs they may be interested in.. http://www.sockconcepts.com/our-socks.html has some examples
  3. I will make samples (typically 2 or 3 designs) (have attached example socks from another school)
  4. I will send pictures and actual samples to you (please give me 2 weeks for pictures and 3 weeks for samples). The samples can be used for advertising in the school.
  5. I will create an Order form (like attached). We can modify it to suit your requirements.
  6. Your team issues the forms and collect the orders (typically a 2 ~ 3 week process)
  7. You send me the final order (a consolidation of all the orders the you get)
  8. I deliver socks to you in 2 ~ 3 weeks (all socks are packed individually with size stickers)
  9. You pay me per the actual sales

So, overall its about a 6 to 8 week cycle…. from your initial interest, to sock delivery to the kids.

If you want to stock inventory (and sell on an ongoing basis), that removes the fundraising cycle, and we can get socks to you in 3 ~ 4 weeks.

Below is a table that shows pricing. The Buy price is your cost from me, no adders. I price based on your sale price (partnership approach).

Just to clarify… no minimums and no cost for samples or any other aspects. You pay me based on actual sales per the above table.

I am hoping you can plan a sock fundraiser either this Spring or maybe early next school year.

Thanks again for your interest and support. Please let me know if I am missing anything.

We will give 6 additional pairs of socks for free if the PTA plan for a sock fundraiser for next school year and let us know by May 31, 2019. They can use them as gifts for their School staff or within the PTA team as rewards.

Thanks

Membership Wrap Up

This is the time to wrap up your membership campaigns. If you have any new members that you haven't paid the state for or you haven't paid council for please do that by the end of April. Mandy posted a graphic on the Officers Forum Facebook page showing any units that still needed to pay for members. If you have any questions about that please contact her.

Possible Membership Dues Increase

Also, remember that National PTA is proposing a dues increase. If it passes at the convention in June this increase will be in affect for next year. Please stay up to date with information on this. It may be a time to discuss whether you need to increase your membership price before school is out. Remember, if your membership price is listed in your bylaws the only way to increase the price is by amending your bylaws. If you have any questions please let your liaison know. Here is the link for more information.
