Color-a-Thon - Updated

Hello Parents,

Thank you so much for registering online and for all the donations so far. We have reached $1910 in online donations. Of those who haven't made and online donation we know we can count on the cash or check amount of at least $30. That makes our estimated total in donations $3260. We are well on our way.

We met with our DJ last night and he is as excited as we are. We will have music at the start and at the finish line. We have cofirmed Kona Ice and Bad News BBQ for the after party. We hope to get at least one more food truck on site. We are especially seeking out a food truck to sell coffee and perhaps pastries before the race. We hope everyone will stay and purchase lunch from the trucks afterwards because they will be giving us a portion of their proceeds for the event.

Don't forget to invite family and friends to watch the race. We will have a great time cheering on our students and their Color Club guests. We also need volunteers to help toss color powder at the runners on the route and at the finish line. Let me know if you would like to help with that. You can sign up to volunteer by emailing me at rivertonpta@gmail.com. We will need powder tossers, parking directors, and folks to man the bagel/banana/water table for the runners as the finish line. We also need folks to help put signs out along the course and to stand in various spots along the course to help direct the runners to stay on the path.

Thanks again for all your support to PUT TECHNOLOGY IN OUR CLASSROOMS!

Cyndy Sarkisian, Race Director

THE PROCEDURE TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE SCHOOL: RIS has implemented a security system in which you have to be buzzed into the school by the front office. The camera and speaker is located on the far right door. Here is how it will work: 1 - Turn towards the camera and press the button. 2 - Explain the purpose of your visit. 3 - Front desk will buzz you through the door (far right). This procedure will also apply to after school care. Your ID card will still be required when conducting business, checking in-out, etc.

Our teachers can always use donations of things like hand sanitizer, tissues (especially this time of year!), Clorox wipes, paper towels, etc. Thank you for everything you do for our school!!

Car Rider Guidelines

1. Hang the number(s) on the rear view mirror, or hold it upright for the carline controller to see. (If it is lying flat on the dashboard, behind a decal, or _behind the upper shaded windshield, it is not visible.)

2. Refrain from using cell phone in car line.

3. If picking up more than one child, display all numbers at the same time, in a horizontal fashion. NOT one at a time.

4. If you do not have your car line number, park and go to the front office to check out your child.

5. Show only one number needed per child. The extra number should be removed, and used for others who may pick up your child.

6. Remember that we are a no tobacco campus. Please do not smoke in the car rider line.
