Mission & Vision Statement
Every student at Northgate Intermediate will make 2 year's worth of growth in reading and math by the end of fifth grade using current district/statewide assessment tools for evaluation.
Northgate Wolves Principles
2. Balance: I will work to achieve equality among my home, school and social life.
3. Harmony: I will work with others peacefully.
4. Justice: I will seek to set things right.
5. Reciprocity: What I give is what I get.
6: Righteousness: I do the right things and I am proud of it.
7: Truth: I believe in myself and I am honest.
Mr. Andre Jones
I am the youngest of seven siblings including myself and I have a twin sister who is also an educator and an older sister who teaches High School English/LA. All of my siblings went to college and graduated which is a great accomplishment and very grateful for my parents instilling in me the importance of education.
I am from Erie Pa, and moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1996 to start my educational career as a 5th grade teacher. I have taught middle school and consulted for the district. I was promoted as a school principal in 2008 and have been the principal of three other schools before I had the opportunity to create/lead Northgate Intermediate in 2016.
I enjoy spending time with my daughter, exercising and reading. I love interacting with intermediate age students, mentoring them and building their confidence to be independent learners and leaders.
Things you didn’t know about me:
· Although I look serious all the time, I have a great sense of humor and probably one of the nicest people you will ever interact with.
· I am an introvert but students, staff and parents bring out my talkative personality

CHILDREN LEARN WHAT THEY LIVE
“Children Learn What They Live”
- Dorothy Law Nolte
Not In This House!
If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn.
If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.
If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.
If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.
In The House Every Day!
If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.
If children live with praise, they learn appreciation.
If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.
If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal.
If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.
