Family Life Education will be taught during marking period four through PE/Health classes. Please review the following forms, sign and return them to your student's PE Teacher IF you wish for your child to be opted out of the program.

To attend, students must have a clear discipline record (no In-School Suspensions or Out-of-School Suspensions assigned during Marking Period 3) and attend school the entire day of the event. A signed permission slip is the only acceptable means for attendance. Students will not be allowed to call home for verbal permission. Please read the permission slip fo additional details and cost/activity options.
GHS Dance Camp
Updated 8th grade - SOL Breakfast Link
The 8th grade Writing SOL test is this week. This is the first SOL of the school year for our 8th grade students. This is a two-day SOL test which will begin on Tuesday, 3/14 and end on Wednesday, 3/15, with a make-up day on Thursday, 3/16.
The 8th grade English department would like to do something special for our students who have been working exceedingly hard all year long mastering all things Writing by providing them with a delicious & nutritious breakfast on both testing days. We cannot do this without your help. Please access the Sign-Up Genius Link to donate and/or volunteer.
6th Grade Field Trip - Science Museum of Virginia, Thursday, April 13th
Student will depart from GMS @ 9:30AM and return at approximately 1:30. Students will eat lunch upon their return to GMS.
* To attend, student must not have received either In-School Suspension and/or Out-of-Suspension from Thursday, Feb. 23rd until the date of the trip.

GCPS is accepting applications for preschool for the 2023-2024 school year
Goochland County Public Schools is accepting applications for preschool for the 2023-2024 school year! Goochland has preschool classrooms at each of its three elementary schools. These preschool programs are full-day programs and transportation to and from school is provided. Our preschool programs at Byrd Elementary School are for three- and four-year-olds. Our preschool programs at Randolph and Goochland Elementary Schools are for four-year-olds. You can apply for preschool using this online application.
