Naomi Shihab Nye @ Hopkins

Naomi Shihab Nye describes herself as a “wandering poet.” She has spent 40 years traveling the country and the world to lead writing workshops and inspiring students of all ages. Ms. Nye is the author and/or editor of more than 30 volumes, including 19 Varieties of Gazelle: Poems of the Middle East (2005), and is the recipient of numerous awards for her work.


Ms. Nye will read her poetry at an all-school assembly on Monday, April 25th followed by time for questions from students, faculty and staff. She will also be available for Q&A and book signing in Calarco Library at 10:00am that day.
