Big picture

The Year Fours have been taking a deep dive into the HASS curriculum with the integration of Technology. We have been learning about the stories of the First Fleet, including reasons for the journey, who travelled to Australia, and their experiences following arrival. We have had so much fun.

Prayer for World Environment Day – 5 June

Loving God, Creator of heaven and earth and all that is in them,

You created us in your image and made us stewards of all your creation,

of our common home.

You blessed us with the sun, water and bountiful land so that all might be nourished.

Help us to show creative solidarity in addressing the consequences of this global pandemic,

Make us courageous to embrace the changes that are needed

in search of the common good,

Now more than ever may we feel that we are all interconnected, in our efforts to lift up the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor. We make our prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen

Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers

I trust that you all enjoyed the long weekend break which was a good opportunity for us all to re-energise for the remaining four weeks of term.

Year 3 - Sacrament of Reconciliation

Several of our Year 3 students will be attending the Sacrament of Penance Enrolment Mass this weekend in preparation for receiving their first Sacrament of Reconciliation. Through this Sacrament, we come to Jesus for forgiveness of our sins. In the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Jesus comforts us, He strengthens us and we are reconciled with God, with the Church, and with the people we have hurt. We ask our school community to keep the Year 3 students in your prayers as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Penance.

P&F Cake Stall

Our annual P&F Cake Sale will be held on tomorrow. We are always so appreciative of the generosity of our families in supplying baked goods for our children to purchase at recess. This is an excellent fundraiser for our P&F and all money received is spent on resources and experiences for our students and the school community.

Behaviour Management

Next week we will be sending out a special edition newsletter about our new behaviour management plan, the behaviour expectations at school and our partnership with parents in managing behaviour so that we can ensure optimal conditions for learning at our school.

Please remember that our doors are open to our school community. We welcome any feedback or suggestions and we are always willing to listen to any concerns you may have.

God bless you all.
