This week at Bend Boot Camp
Thank you all for your understanding as we had to cancel our Saturday 8am class. As much as we want to workout we also want you to be safe. This is a great opportunity for you to check out our blog and and the 'Workout Wednesday' posts and find a little bit of motivation there on the days you are not wanting to get out.
As I was prepping for this coming week I am always reading up on new exercises, articles and frequently am inspired by my own coach and mentors. One of my amazing coaches and mentors just recently finished a 100 mile run and as I was reading his race report. He noted a great quote that I thought was worthy of sharing:
"in the age, which believes that there is a short cut to everything, the greatest lesson to be learned is that the difficult way is, in the long run, the easiest." -Henry Miller.
I love this quote as it often reminds us that although our road to fitness, health and nutrition may seem like a long and never ending path it is truly the effort you make each day that builds the foundation and base for continued success and of course all those results we want, whether by inches, by distance or just by how we feel each day.
Taking the time to work with each of you, We have seen so many amazing results and so much success. Overhearing new recipes you have tried, the success of those who are challenging their nutrition with the 21 day purification or those that are just getting out to do something different these are all ways we know we are succeeding at what we do as coaches, mentors, trainers and motivators. So our point is this....FEEL PROUD! you guys are dedicated, consistent and amazing and truly going the distance!
Just this week one of our athletes had her measurements taken and lost some serious inches. We see these results because she has allowed us to challenge her, work with her and mentor her each step of the way. It was a long road and not a short cut but I guarantee she will read this and smile knowing she did all the work and it paid off.
Let us help you in your journey. Nutrition and Fitness go hand in hand so don't opt for that quick fix or tell yourself you will workout tomorrow. Get it done and go the distance!

Adventure Boot Camp class-visit our website for class times. Location Cascade Indoor Sports.
This is our signature class offering total body training in a fun and challenging class open to all levels. Classes offer intervals, circuits, strength and flexibility utilizing over 15,000 square feet of indoor turf during the winter months and endless park space during the warmer months.
TRX Total Body- M,W,F 9am at Sol Alchemy TRX Studio
TRX is a total body workout that offers 360 degrees of strength and stabilization. We are the only group TRX studio in Central Oregon. Non-impact options are always available and the class will focus on muscular strength, endurance, stabilization and cardio during the 60 minute class.
Saturday Mixer Saturday 8am at Sol Alchemy TRX Studio
This class will incorporate High Intensity Intervals (HIIT), Cardio Kick Boxing, TRX and Yoga. This class is a 75 minute team taught class pushing you to reach new levels in your current fitness program. This class is being offered every Saturday at 8am at Sol Alchemy TRX Studio. This is a true way to add some cross training into your week!
Yoga Bliss- 5:30pm on Thursday nights at Cascade Indoor Sports.
Same great class just a new fun name. Yoga Bliss is a class that will leave you feeling relaxed and in pure bliss! We take the Yin Yoga class and add some fun twists to it allowing you to open up those sore and worked muscles while still working your core. Adjustments and personalized attention is our focus as we want to make sure each athlete leaves the class feeling fresh and recharged for their next workout.

Recipe of the week!
1 Cup of almonds
1 Cup of pitted dates
1/4 cup shredded coconut
1/4 cup chocolate chips or cocoa nibs
1 scoop of chia seed
1 scoop of protein powder (I use Vega Protein Natural Flavor)
2 T cocoa powder.
Put all above ingredients except chocolate chips into a cuisinart or high speed blender until fine. Add a Tablespoon of water if it doesn't clump right away.
Add in the chocolate chips or cocoa nibs and mix well.
Roll into balls on a flat cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Refrigerate an hour and enjoy!
They can be stored in your fridge for 7-10 days but I guarantee they won't last that long:)
