Morning Arrival Updates
We will watch the traffic flow each morning and determine if we need to open the front line. If the cars are getting backed up, we will open the front line at 7:20 to alleviate traffic and get the kids in the building on time.
Please do not get out of your car. *Note: If you have a young child in a car seat that is on the left side of the car, please remain in line to drop off in the back.
ATTENDANCE / ABSENCES
Is your student sick? Do they have an appointment or will they miss a day of school? Reporting an absence is convenient and there is no need to call or write a handwritten note. Simply go to the ASE webpage and click on REPORT AN ABSENCE to complete the form. Please remember to email your student's homeroom teacher to let them know how your child is doing and always bring in a doctor's note if you have it. Please refer to the Attendance link listed in the Quick Links on the ASE webpage for more information.
We take attendance each day at 9:30 a.m.
Attendance Reminders
Argyle ISD elementary schools take attendance at 9:30am per TEA guidelines. If your child arrives after 9:30am or is checked out before 9:30am, your child is counted as ABSENT for that day unless you have a doctor’s note. Our school funding is tied to student attendance as well as opportunities to earn school distinctions. Our goal is 98% daily attendance. Please make every effort to ensure your child is present for attendance.
We will start sending out attendance letters if your child already has 4 or more absences. Since we have 4 quarters, this means they are at risk of accumulating 17 absences by the end of the school year.
Illnesses
~Please remember that your child must be fever free/vomit free for at least 24 hours without medications before returning to school after an illness.
Medications
~Students are not allowed to bring medication of any kind to school with them to administer to themselves during the school day. This includes ointments and creams.
~All medications (including over the counter/non-prescription medications) must be in original containers and must have a medication form filled out and signed by the physician. All medications given out at school must have a prescription. Medication will only be given out by authorized school personnel.
Vision and Hearing Screenings
~We are starting to complete Vision and Hearing screenings. Please make sure your student brings their glasses to school with them everyday.
Thank you for helping us keep our students healthy!

We are ready for lunch visitors!
Please limit your lunch visits to once per week. This will avoid overcrowding and we won't have to assign certain days for each grade level.
- You can apply for free or reduced meals, make payments, view purchase history, receive low balance alerts, and view school menus containing nutritional and allergen information for items.
- For convenience, setup automatic payments to replenish your child's cafeteria funds.
- Know what is on the menu at the school cafeteria and provide feedback by rating and sharing items.
- Favorite your child's favorite items and SchoolCafé will send you a push notification to let you know when it's on the menu.
