The capital is Lima. Lima is the largest city in Peru. It is located in the valleys of the Chillón, Rímac and Lurín rivers, in the central coastal part of the country.

Peru's population is about 23 million,and is divided almost equally between the highlands and the population centres of the coast, and the division marks a sharp cultural as well as geographic divide. Trujillo is a city in coastal northwestern Peru. The capital of La Libertad Region. It has 524,442 that people go there.
