First Semester Sports Seasons Opportunities
Spring Sports 2020-2021
Registration for the first semester Spring season sports (September 21, 2020-October 23, 2020) will close on September 20, 2020 at 5:00p.m.
Fall Sports 2020-2021
Registration for first semester Fall sports season (October 26, 2020- December 4, 2020) will close on October 25, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
There will be no athletic events or practices November 23, 2020- November 27, 2020.
Winter 2020-2021
Registration for First Semester Winter Sports season (December 7, 2020- January 28, 2021) will close on December 6, 2020 at 5:00 p.m
There will be no athletic events or practices December 14, 2020- January 3, 2021.
Conditioning Opportunities
If you would like to participate in offseason conditioning opportunities with your team(s), you must register on Family ID before 5:00pm on September 20, 2020.
Textbook/Materials Distribution
English as a Second Language
Good News for our families who speak languages other than English. On the SMCPS website there is a translation button - right side of the page. This is not only for Spanish but other languages.We hope this makes communication more accessible to everyone.

College and Career Center
Seniors: Please check out our College and Career Center website for information regarding how to apply to college. Your high school transcript will be updated later in September and it will include your senior courses and an updated rank. After that time it will be uploaded to Naviance and sent to the colleges you have indicated to us in Naviance.
This week, LHS will be starting our virtual College Rep Visits. Colleges will be providing a zoom link and a representative from the college will be presenting information about their school. All visits have been scheduled during asynchronous learning times. Rep Visits will be for Juniors and Seniors. To register for a virtual visit, login to Naviance using Clever. - All requests are being conducted through email this year.
- All requests must have the student and parent on the email request.
- We will not accept requests for a teacher change or a period change.
- The Last day to request a course change is September 18, 2020.

Yearbook
Students who have not picked up their yearbooks may do so during textbook distribution. If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook from last year, the account to order a yearbook is set up through My School Bucks. Click on the school store link and look for the Yearbook 2019/2020 item.
2021 Yearbooks are available for purchase at the lowest price of the school year now through September 25. Order online at jostensyearbooks.com.
Senior Portraits
The makeup dates for senior portraits will take place on October 12, 13, and 14 in the auxiliary gym. The schedule will be posted on the LHS Yearbook site, so please check back the first week of October to see appointment dates and times.

Pre-ordering of meals will still be available and is recommended to ensure your selected meal is ready for you upon arrival. Same-day pick up will also be available at all locations.

We have Leonardtown Face Masks for sale on MySchoolBucks in the School Store ($7). The masks can be picked up during Textbook Distribution in September.

Parking Information
If you applied for a parking permit, you should have received an approval/denial email. If you were approved, you would have received a link to the parking presentation that includes a quiz that you must pass with 100%.

FYI: Usually our parking permits cost $60. We are prorating the cost to $45 ($15 for each quarter, assuming we may be back 2nd quarter). Should virtual learning extend past first quarter, you will be refunded for the quarters we are not in school.
