Cyclone Central Newsletter
January 27, 2023
Dear Center Families,
Today was an exciting day for our youngest Cyclones! Thanks to a partnership with our Med Tech program, these scholars enjoyed some hands on experiences related to the medical field at Mayfield's Innovation Center. Our future doctors and nurses participated in a Teddy Bear Clinic with several high school students that included learning how to check vitals, build braces and splints, and help to care for their furry patients. It will be a highlight remembered by many for years to come!
Around the building this week, our focus continues to be on providing a personalized, All-Access learning experience for all. In all grades, our students are learning how to set goals, monitor their own progress, and celebrate growth with one another. It is wonderful to walk in and out of classrooms and witness the cheers and celebrations!
This week, we are also still selling tickets for CSA's Magic Gives Back performance at Mayfield High School on February 11th. Along with purchasing tickets, families may also support our school community by donating to grade level raffle baskets, shopping at Village Trends Boutique, and sending in items for our Food Drive which begins February 13th. Check out the information below for more information.
We thank all of you for partnering with us along this learning journey!
Sincerely,
Kate RatenoPrincipal, Center Elementary School

Shout Outs
Throughout the year, we will again collaborate as a school community to live out our school motto; Center Cyclones CARE. This message will be shared and practiced through Morning Meetings, Closing Circles, Virtual Morning Announcements, and much more. One way that we like to acknowledge students and staff members for positive acts of kindness is through our Center Shout Outs. As we learn together throughout the year, community members are encouraged to use this link to share about a student or staff member who has made a positive impact on the Cyclone Community. Our students and staff enjoy hearing these Shout Outs on our morning announcements each day!
Please use the link below to share any Shout Outs with us:
