Instruction cycles
Compulsory education in United States starts from six years old and ends at eighteen (in some States at sixteen).

Frequency
Frequency at school is compulsory: every morning the teacher makes the call and if a student is absent the computer sends to parents a message to inform of the student.
Subjects
All the subjects and study courses are the same for all different school, some schools can introduce the study of foreign languages or informatic. There is a class for each teacher and students must move to reach the course. Compulsory subjects for all students must be followed for a number of years, you can choose some other subjects according on your interests.

- P.E. (Physical education) - two years
P.E. (Physical Education)
Students who are athletically worthy recive scholarships.
If students can't take part to the P.E. lesson they must bring to school a medical certificate. Each student can choose among these activities:

Activities after school
Outside school hours american students can take part in different activities, they can be:
Band
Choir

- Reading
Grading System
When american students have a test they get marks, and they are based on letters: from A (excellent) to F (seriously inadequate). Tests can be every week, based on each unit of the testbook.
Periods
Students go to school from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm. Who takes part in "extra periods" goes to school also from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm. Periods don't last 60 minutes because students must move to other classes to reach the next course.
