Crusader Parent and Guardian Update

not through Your servants or hired men
but do it Yourself.
Lift me up bodily and in the flesh,
which is fallen in Adam.
Lift me up not from Sarah but from Mary,
a Virgin not only undefiled
but a Virgin whom grace had made inviolate,
free of every stain of sin.”

A St.Ignatius First!
Congratulations to Margaret Fronheiser! She was St. Ignatius' First Ever Neumann Scholarship Winner. The Neumann Scholarship is sponsored by the Connelly Foundation and covers the cost of attending an Archdiocesan High School for four years. Students must qualify to take the test. The students who receive the highest scores are awarded the scholarships. This year 114 students across the Archdiocese qualified to take the test. Out of that 114 only 43 scholarships were awarded. We are proud of Margaret and are excited to see what the next four years hold for her as she continues her educational journey.

Thank You
The 8th grade would like to thank everyone who supported their Gift-Wrapping Fundraiser this past Monday and Tuesday. Our "elves" dressed the part, enjoyed the holiday music, and raised money for their Legacy Gift that will be presented to the school at their graduation.
All the remaining paper, tape, and tags left over was donated to Urban Promise in Trenton to help them wrap their donated gifts for families in need this Christmas season. We thank Mrs. Schafer for helping out with coordinating and delivering the donation.
From the Desk of Mrs. Crozier, Advancement Director
We are in need of Handbag Bingo Raffles. If you would like to sponsor a raffle basket or donate an item please contact Mrs. Helene Crozier at hcrozier@sischool.org for more information.
Some great raffle items would be gift cards for manicures, pedicures, restaurants, a local coffee house, your favorite place to shop, use your imagination. Basket ideas such as baking, cooking, pampering, gardening, reading, wine tasting are always popular. We appreciate your support and are looking forward to a great evening!

Cookies and Milk with Santa
On behalf of the Home and School Association, thank you to all of the families who came out on Saturday for Cookies and Milk with Santa! The weather cooperated and we even managed to get a little snow :) Thank you to all of the volunteers who made this event possible...we had moms, dads, and even kiddos pitch in to help make a great day! Thank you for the laughs, smiles, and a wonderful start to the holiday season. Thank you to Laura McCullough and Jaimee Hynes for all of your hard work to make the day special. Thank you also to Father Brownholtz for welcoming our school community in celebrating outside of the rectory. Special shout to Mike Nedl - without you and your truck, we would not have had nearly as much fun! We hope you all enjoyed the day as much as we did!
Santas workshop
We hope all of your children enjoyed shopping for their family and loved ones!
A HUGE thank you to Michele Mangapit and Jen Wiggins and their entire team for once again organizing and planning this event. It is a huge undertaking and we really appreciate all that you do! It was great to have both options available online and in school shopping. I know the kids loved having the opportunity to shop once again in person.
Also thank you for supporting the 8th graders as they worked hard wrapping the gifts to fundraise for their class gift to the school.
