Quote of the week
"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” – Thomas A. Edison
From Mr. Wingfield
This Friday marks the end of the first 6th weeks. Although we are on a 9 week reporting schedule now, the first 6 weeks and the first nine weeks will both determine eligibility for students involved in UIL competition. Students can lose eligibility if they are not passing all of their classes this Friday. Please help us remind your students to get everything turned in.
Remember that teachers offer tutorials before and after school and students need to get with their teachers and determine when their scheduled tutorial times are. If students are missing assignments or need extra support they can also use their RTI time to complete assignments. They will need to schedule this ahead of time. Thanks for your help!
Today is the last day to purchase Pink our shirts for Breast Cancer Awareness. All proceeds for these shirts go to support breast cancer research.

In an effort to continually keep our students and campus safe, all parents will need to physically enter the building in order to check out your child for any reason. We will pull your child out of class when you arrive and have gone through the check-out procedures. Thanks for your cooperation.
If there is any other information you would like to receive through the MS Newsletter, please feel free to email me at jwingfield@normangeeisd.org
As always, if I can help in any way please let me know.

Capturing Kids Hearts
In September we will be focused on Connecting with Heart. Every Monday we will have a character lesson and students will be able reflect and build positive, healthy relationships and dialogue with one another.
After School Transport
We have reminded our students that after school they need to go directly to the bus loop in order to get there on time. We have had some students coming from the other side of the campus and get there when the buses are leaving.
In the parent pickup we have had parents waiting for students after school for extended periods of time. This makes it difficult for parents further back in the line to pick up and exit.
Please help us remind your student to go directly to where they are being picked up every day after school. Thanks
