NEWS & NOTES
Marty's Minute
Another week is in the books! I hope you can take some time this weekend to recharge and acknowledge all the hard work you have put into this school year so far.
In honor of Orange Shirt Day today, I invite you to take a few moments to reflect on those who were sent to residential boarding schools and never made it back home. This is a sad part of history that we must never forget. Let's continue these tough conversations and grow as humans, so these types of acts are never repeated.

Where are you from? Originally from MAINE but grew up in Colorado
Favorite thing about your job? Watching my student make positive choices and how far he has come.
Anything you'd like to share about your family? The most important person in my life is my mom. I also have 4 furry ginger boy children that are spoiled rotten. I also have 5 nieces and nephew who are a very important part of my live.
Do you have any hobbies? I love to draw Zentangles and read. I also love to be creative and spend time with family.
If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be? Watch a live Manchester United game at Old Tafford
What is your goal for this year? To work on being more patient and to help my student achieve his goals.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I would like to be math or reading Paraprofessional.
One fun fact that most people don’t know about you: I am almost 100% ambidextrous, and I can juggle.
Anything else you'd like to share with your co-workers? Jefferson Elementary is the first school I’ve ever worked at that felt like home. The principal and staff are the most incredible people I’ve ever worked with.
