This Week's PLC Meeting Schedule
This week all PLC and school-wide meetings are cancelled. ("No Meet Week")
Gallup Survey to be Taken By Scholars Monday During Community Meetings
The survey is short, 24 questions, and takes an average of 10 minutes to complete.
To get students started on the survey, write the shortened URL address – survey link – on the board and ask students to enter it in the address bar of their computer, Ipad, or cell phone. This address is unique to your school and is not to be shared with or made available to other schools. User Names and Passwords are NOT required when using this link. Gallup strongly recommends that a pre-test of the URL address is executed prior to administering the survey.

This link will take you to the survey. Students will have the option to take the survey in English or Spanish. Once students select their language preference, they are set to begin the survey.
It is extremely important that all of our homeroom classes in all of our grade levels (including Montessori) complete the survey on Monday morning.
End of 1st Quarter Grading Period Approaches 10/28/16
The last day of the first quarter is this Friday, October 28th. First quarter exams in all core classes will be held during the week of October 24th-28th. The exam schedule for this week is as follows...
Fri. Oct. 21st………………Social Studies (in classes)
Mon. Oct. 24th………….Social Studies (in classes)
Tue. Oct. 25th …………..Science (in classes)
Wed. Oct. 26th ………….ELA (school-wide testing: mock EOG style 9:30-12:30)
Thu. Oct. 27th……………Math (School-wide testing: mock EOG style 9:30-12:30)
Fri. Oct. 28th ……………..Make-Up testing: School will be on club schedule and clubs will be held at 3:15.
Additional Information
* The modified testing schedule for Wednesday & Thursday (12:30-4:15) is attached to the email that contained this week's newsletter
* During the quarterly exams scholars will receive testing accommodations as specified on their IEPs.
*Elective team and support staff will assist with pull outs for separate setting, read-alouds, etc… on Wednesday & Thursday.
*All assessments will be completed on the computer. Teachers may use either Mastery Connect or SchoolNet as a testing platform.
*Ms. Eldridge will share an instructional guide for utilizing SchoolNet via email. If you have additional questions regarding SchoolNet, please contact Ms. Eldridge.
Fall Arts Night Tuesday, October 25th
Our 2016 Fall Arts Night will be held on this Tuesday, October 25th from 6:30-8:00. Come support our scholars and enjoy a fun evening of music, dance, art and much more.

Weekly Sports Update
Our fall sports season continues on Monday with an away volleyball & softball game versus Cochrane Collegiate. On Wednesday our volleyball & softball teams play at home versus Kennedy Middle. On Thursday our football team looks to regain its winning form in an away game versus White Water Middle. Please come out and support our scholar-athletes as they represent our campus.
