From the Principal
- My focus this week when going into classrooms was on the students abilities to problem solve. I am so impressed by their skills in this area, whether it was applied in math, reading or their daily activities.
- This week some of our classrooms took time to celebrate our 100th day of school! What a fun time, and also hard to believe that we are already at that point in the school year.
- Tuesday, February 28 will be yearbook photo day at Munhall. This day allows for students to take photos wearing the uniforms or shirts from specific Munhall clubs or groups.
- Just a friendly reminder, the Chicago Steel Hockey Game is tomorrow night. I will not be able to attend, however please feel free to email me pictures of Mustangs at the game. I hope all of you that can attend have an amazing time.
- I am excited about Munhall joining in on the Kane County Cougars reading program. Let's see how many students can earn their goal!
- Thank you to our student council for all their efforts, as our SOUPer bowl is off and running! This is such an amazing fundraiser.
- I look forward to our next PTO meeting, which will take place next Tuesday @ 7:00 PM. This meeting will be hosted at Munhall, however I will also share a zoom link.

Health Office Contact Information
The Munhall nurses have a new email address! Parents can now reach us at mun-nurses@d303.org. Please send any communication or health forms to this email address to ensure that all of our Munhall nurses receive this important information about your student(s)!
Note from the Nurse
If you have a Kindergarten or Second grade student, please remember to turn in their dental forms prior to the May 15th deadline.
As we all know there has been an increase in respiratory illnesses the past few weeks. Please remember that students who test positive for Covid are required to stay home for 5 full days. Day zero is the first day of symptoms. We highly advise, however do not require, wearing a mask upon return to school through day 10 to help prevent the spreading Covid to other students and staff.
We will typically send students outside for recess as long as the real feel temperature is above zero degrees.
Students are only permitted to go into the snow if they have snow pants and boots. Parents typically send students to school with their snow gear placed in a separate bag.
