Negative effects about hurricanes
A negative effect of a hurricane is, it destroys buildings and trees with high winds. Another negative effect is they can destroy beaches and can sometimes destroys houses with rip tides. Probably the deadliest is when it destroys things with people inside. Hurricane Katrina took at least 1,833 lives. There are no positive effects of hurricanes.
Events and effect area
The most famous hurricane is Hurricane Katrina. The Texas coastal prairies and marshes can be effected by hurricanes. Weathering happens when the storm makes land fall and rains. Erosion happens when the rain hits the sand part of beaches and can erode away barrier islands. The environment can be destroyed with high winds and rip tides.
