A Visitor From New York

Teachers College of New York

If your child is in 3rd, 4th or 5th grade, you may have heard we had a visitor this week from New York. Ms. Dominique is a professional developer from the Teachers College in New York and was in our building doing some classroom teaching of reading while our teachers observed. We are very fortunate to be a lab school and have this partnership to help us continue to learn and grow our expertise in the readers workshop model. She will be returning this April to work with our staff and students again.

Fire Prevention Week

We had our annual visit from the Greenfield Fire Department today. Each classroom had a visit from the firefighters. Ask your child what they learned today from our community helpers.

Bake Sale/Election

We have already had some parents sign up to help out with our bake sale during the election. I have the link to the sign up below if you are still interested. We have many spots to still fill.

If you are unable to donate your time to sell the baked goods, you could also help out by donating baked goods as well. Baked goods can be brought into the office anytime on Monday, November 7th or Tuesday morning, November 8th.
