Hillendale families,

I hope that you are having a nice weekend!

Please see a few details in the section below about lunch on Student Wellness Day (this Thursday). Families must pre-order lunch this day if their children plan to buy. Use the form below to do so.

School is closed this Friday (4/21), however, we hope that many of you can come to Hillendale to volunteer with us for our Earth Day Clean-Up Event featuring Mr. Claypoole and horticulturists from Mt. Cuba Center. We hope you can come help us beautify our campus while having fun and learning about native perennials! See more information below and click here to sign up.

With the PSSA around the corner for our 3rd - 5th graders (4/24 start date), please also take some time to review the email I shared with you all on 3/27 regarding the PSSA and feel free to reach out with any questions you might have.

Hillendale Elementary Principal

During our Student Wellness Day this Thursday (4/20/23) Hillendale will be eating lunch outdoors! If your child is planning to purchase lunch on Thursday, please submit the form below by Monday (4/17) at 4:00 PM to alert our team as to what they would like to eat so it can be pre-made and bagged that morning. This also applies to our kindergarteners in Y-Care.

Students are still welcome to pack a lunch that day and are also welcome to bring a small towel to sit on outside with their last name labeled on it if they wish, however, this is not a requirement. You do NOT have to submit this form if your child is packing lunch that day.

As a good portion of the day will be spent outdoors, I recommend you consider sending students with a reusable water bottle and sunscreen pre-applied if the weather warrants it.

Please submit this form multiple times if you have multiple children at Hillendale.

Start Earth Day weekend at Hillendale! Come join our Spring Clean-Up along with Mt. Cuba Center, Pennsbury Township, and MR. CLAYPOOLE! Please SIGN UP HERE for a designated section. We will also be planting some native perennials picked out by our 4th Grade! These were carefully chosen with consideration for the variety of species these plants support in our ecosystem here at HES! Thank you to our students, teachers, and Mt. Cuba Center! See you there!

We are planning our Staff Appreciation Luncheon for Wednesday, May 3rd. Please follow the link below to see all the details. We are asking for your help to provide drinks, desserts, gift cards, decorations made by your student(s), etc. Thank you!

Auction - The event also includes an amazing auction. The online silent auction will start Friday April 21st and end during the event at 9:00pm.
