Building LEADERS one subject at a time!!

Reading: This week we will have an opportunity to read some festive favorites for Halloween and the upcoming holidays. We will also continue rotations for Reader's Workshop! Students will be working on Lexia, partner reading, meeting with me for small group instruction, while focusing on identifying main ideas, IDR (festive favorites), and writing about our reading (students will have an opportunity to write a spooky/festive story, when finished with their personal narratives).

Writing: In writing, we will publish our personal narratives and make a cover for our pieces!

Math: Chapter 4 continues...We will practice multiplying one digit by multi-digit numbers.

Content: We are currently in the process of finishing up our 5 Regions Lap Book for our Project Based Learning Unit: On the Move/Regions and Exploration. This past Friday we added geographical features to our last remaining task for our Regions book. Some of the things that we included on our maps were: rivers, deserts, oceans, lakes, mountains, plains, peninsulas, and plateaus. We will be adding our final touches to this project tomorrow, before beginning our research on Native Americans and Early Explorers.
