Principal's Message

Hello Eagles! Can you believe the school year is almost coming to an end? The last six weeks of school is in full swing. Our staff is hard at work trying to ensure each of our students are reaching their full potential with their work. Parents/guardians, I ask that you please continue to work alongside us these last five weeks of school. We have all had such a challenging and very different school year, but with each day progress is being made. Students need to be attending school daily and arriving to school on time. These last weeks of school are critical because our teachers are trying their best to ensure your child is ready to move on to the next grade level. Together everyone achieves more!

We continue to welcome more and more online students back on campus for face to face learning. If you would like your online student to return to our campus for face to face learning, please give our office a call at 878-2600. We will work out all of the details with you so your child can attend face to face instruction right away. We would love to have all of our students on our campus to end the school year.

Let's have a successful month of May at school. We will continue to provide you with updates throughout the month via Canvas and School Messenger. Thank you families for all of your support. This school year could not have been a success without your support.

Staff Appreciation Week May 3rd-7th

There are not enough words to say how much we appreciate our staff. This has definitely been a school year we never thought we would experience, but through it all our staff has persevered. We couldn't be more proud of each and every one of them. Their hard work and dedication to all of our students does not go unnoticed. They simply are the BEST! Please read the flyer below to see what procedures our campus will be following if you would like to honor your child's teacher.

Dismissal Updates

We are working hard to ensure our students are dismissed from school in a safe manner while still following safety protocols. Please make sure the following procedures are being followed at dismissal time.

· Place your student name card on the inside of your windshield.

· When waiting on Frio Street to enter our parking lot, please pull your vehicle close to the curb near our old campus. This will allow for traffic to continue flowing along Frio to Hacala Street.

· Vehicles who are trying to enter our parking lot from Hacala Street need to get in the car line forming on Frio Street. Our CCISD Police Department has requested this in order to avoid traffic from backing up on Hacala Street.

Thank you for your cooperation.

We truly appreciate your support.

STAAR Testing May 11th-13th

Our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will take their official STAAR tests on May 11th-13th. We want to wish our 3rd-5th grade teachers and their students the best of luck. They have been work extra hard since the beginning of the school year to prepare for these state assessments. We know they are well prepared and couldn't be more proud of the determination they have demonstrated this school year to learn so much about math, reading and science You got this, Eagles!

Please note, online students can only take the test on campus and an online version will not be available to complete at home. Parents/guardians of these students have already been notified by our office and the necessary arrangements have been made for them to test on our campus. Breakfast, lunch and a snack will be provided. The office will contact you once your child has completed his/her testing.

As a reminder, students should go to bed early, eat breakfast, bring a water bottle and arrive to school on time. Students will have four hours to complete their test and those with accomodations will receive them. Go Eagles Go! STAAR Powers Activated!

Asynchronous Day for Kinder, 1st and 2nd Grade Only Due to STAAR Testing

Parents/guardians of Kinder, 1st and 2nd grade students, please note your child will not attend face to face instruction on the following days only due to STAAR testing: Tuesday, May 11th and Wednesday, May 12th. Breakfast and Lunch Menus for On Campus Learners

Please review the menu provided. If your child is not going to eat the school lunch we do encourage the use of packing a lunch in a bag that can be thrown away. Using a bag that can be thrown away limits the travel of items such as a lunch box going back and forth from home to school. Breakfast and lunch are free for all students.
