Paddle to the Amazon with Dana Starkell
Thursday, June 6th at 7pm
In the summer of 1980, a father and his sons went on the adventure of a lifetime. Starting in Canada, the journey would take them through the Americas. Hear Dana recount the tale of the record-breaking canoe trip and the scrapes with death he would encounter along the way.

Wednesday, June 19th at 6pm
Elizabeth Cady Stanton fought for equal rights for Women for over fifty years. Upon her death in 1902 she left behind a legacy of her crusade for female equality and myriad writings that would inspire feminists for over a century to come. Hear from Mrs. Stanton in 1866, when the Civil War was over, but the battle for Women’s Suffrage was just beginning. Join Laura F. Keyes, as Elizabeth Cady Stanton, for this informative and inspiring presentation.

Adulting 101
Are you a teen or young adult age 15-25?
Want to be a more “adultier” adult?
Let us help!
The library will be hosting adulting classes
each Saturday from 11-1
beginning June 8th through July 13th.
This series of 6 classes will help you learn to handle all the responsibilities of adulthood.
We will discuss dorm/apartment life, cooking,
car care, finances, and much more!
WWII Lecture Series with the Rock Island Arsenal Museum
Tuesday, June 11th
1400-1500 (2-3pm)
The World War II Lecture Series will focus on different campaigns and battles for each presentation. This lecture will cover D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. June 6th marks the 75th Anniversary of the Invasion of Europe.
Afternoon Movie
Thursday, June 6th at 1pm
The movie that will be shown is The Upside starring Kevin Hart, Bryan Cranston and Nicole Kidman. The Upside is a comedic look at the relationship between a wealthy man with quadriplegia and an unemployed man with a criminal record who's hired to help him.
