MVBA - What, When, Where & Why?

MVBA (Mountain View Band Association) is the Booster Organization for the Mountain View HS Band. MVBA works under the guidance of Mr. Owens to help raise money that bring wonderful opportunities to all students in the Band Program. It's not just for Marching Band families so come out and learn how you can support our students!

MVBA typically have monthly meetings to discuss business of the Booster Club. Parents/Supporters can come out and get information about the Band Program from Mr. Owens and then hear how MVBA is working to make those goals/visions a reality for all of the students!

MVBA meetings will take place in the MVHS Band Room (unless otherwise noted).

Why - if your student is part of the program, they will benefit from the efforts of MVBA's fundraising and volunteering so you can be part of that and help your own student have a memorable time just by giving a little time and energy. It's worth it because again, the goal of MVBA is to support all students/families within the vision/guidelines established by Mr. Owens.

Check out the BAND WEBSITE CALENDAR for our next meeting!

Fund Raisers for you!

In addition to our annual March/Spin a Thon for Marching Band, MVBA is offering families the chance to earn money through our Butcher's Choice Fundraiser. You can order/sell quality meats in time for the Spring/Summer grill season. For more information, check out the band website (www.mtnviewband.com) or contact mvba@mtnviewband.com for more information or swing by the band room to pick up a packet.

Don't forget about this year's GALA. For the last few years, the GALA has become a great success drawing corporate sponsors to our program and also just an amazingly fun night full of games, food and music! This year's GALA will be on Friday, November 11, 2016 with our theme 70s Vegas Style. So don't wait until the last minute, make sure you're there and ready to have some FUN!!!!

Winter Guard Success!!!

Our Winter Guard finished 3rd in the SAPA Championships Scholastic Novice Class: Topaz Division. This is the highest they have finished and was a great way to end this season! Congratulations to the Winter Guard members for such a successful season as well as the amazing staff that made it all possible!

Find and Like us on Facebook

When used responsibly, Facebook can be a great tool to help keep people informed about the amazing activities our band students do all the time. Yeah, I know. I have always preached the dangers of Facebook but let's face it, in our society, it is a great way to help communicate with people. So, search for and like the Mountain View HS Black & Gold Brigade Facebook Page and you too can keep up with what's going on with our program! You can find a direct link on the Band website.
