Reading Takes You Places

I'm working hard to redecorate the library. My theme is "Reading takes you places". If you have any ideas to go with that theme I would be glad to hear them. I'm so excited about the changes in the library, I hope you and the students are too.

2013- 14 Library Schedule

This year I do not have to teach technology a set number of hours to 3rd and 4th grade! I do have the laptops and we will use them for some technology lessons and research. When classes come to the library I will be teaching more traditional library lessons.

Let me introduce myself:

Jodi Lamb

Hello, this is my 2nd year to be at Lamar. Before that I was in the classroom for 19 years, mostly in kindergarten. I love my current position and my goal this year is to encourage students to READ. Another goal I have is to update the professional collection in the library. If you know of a resource that would be beneficial to us please let me know. If you have read or heard of a book that our students would like I would like to hear about that also. I will always take recommendations.

September 9

Teachers are welcome to come and checkout materials before that date, but classes will start until September 9.  If there is anyone that hasn't gotten the schedule yet please let me know.  For some reason some teachers didn't get the email.

Library Resources You Might not know about:

Discovery Education (United Streaming)

If you don't have an account with Discovery Education  and would like to make one you will need Lamar's pass code. it is 8741- 76C9.  Discovery Education has many resources for all ages and all subjects.

New Resources!
