From Our Principal

Dear Parents,

Thanks for an amazing 2015-16 school year. We are wrapping up this school year and I wanted to share a few things.

· We have a few school holidays in May (May 27 and May 30.)

· The last day of school is June 3 and it is an early release day (12:00).

· The class party information is listed in this newsletter.

· Summer reading lists will be on the website for you to prepare for next year.

· Our summer office hours are Monday-Thursday from 7:00-5:30.

· The building will be closed from June 24 to July 18th

Thank-you to all the volunteers that made our STAR WARS Field Day a smashing success. We could not have done that event without you. As we plan for next year, please remember to wait until late July or August to complete the 2016-17 background check.

I look forward to the many celebrations in the upcoming days and acknowledging our students’ successes. As always, thanks for your support.

From Mrs. B with Love!

Dear Shepard family,

A few weeks ago I was in the first grade hall and a sweet little patriot stopped me and said “my mom told me you are “tiring” I laughed, hugged her and told her that her mom was right. I am “tiring.” These past 23 years have been a very important part of my life and my family’s as well. I want to thank the Shepard Community for allowing me to be a part of your families. I am humbled by all the well wishes and kind words. It has truly been a pleasure and Shepard Elementary will always hold a special place in my heart.

Much Love,

Mrs. B

Change in Routine Pick Up?

Parents, Mrs. B would like to remind everyone that if a change occurs in the way your child will be picked up from school on any given day, please call the office by 2:15 pm so the message can be relayed. We know emergencies happen but it makes for less confusion for both your child and the staff if everyone has advanced notice if there is a change in the normal routine.

Correction- Child Safe # is 469-752-3100 option #3

Thank you!
