Welcome Back to Term 4
Let Term 4 begin....
Welcome back to the final stretch of 2015. I hope everyone had a relaxing and well earned holiday and have returned looking forward to Term 4.
Thank you to the staff who gave up time to work with Year 12 students during the holidays. I ran into Jess Mobbs one day at school in the first week and some of her students - the students expressed their gratitude at the opportunity Jess was giving them.
The Jungle Book
Thank you to Bobbie and Jess for the time and effort going into making the production of the Jungle Book a great success. Students are loving the opportunity to perform and I encourage as many staff as possible to show support by attending the performance.
What a wonderful way to showcase our school with the primary schools attending today - 300 captive students was amazing!

To the staff leaving us at the end of the year....
As we all know at the end of this year we have a number of staff leaving us..... Tony Page and Wendy Mitchell as well as Jan Denley who relinquished her position earlier in the year.
A dinner will be organised at the Golf Club to enable the school to officially say farewell. Invitations will also be extended through the P&C and to past teachers of the school to attend the night....Stay tuned for a date!
Timetable
Constructing a timetable is complex especially in a school where naturally each faculty is wanting the best outcome for staff and students with requests for doubles, singles, running onto lunch etc.
Our timetablers are Adam and Susan however they do not make 'whole school decisions' regarding the timetable so please do not ask them directly to make changes.
This year any requests must be made in writing so we can keep a record of them as well as tracking decisions. Forms will be emailed out to all staff BUT they must be discussed with HT's who will approve them and bring them to the Exec Meeting for final approval.
2016 Working Arrangements
I have had two staff approach me regarding working part time in 2016. Since these staff have provided me with plenty of notice, in consultation with their HT, I have given approval.
I haven't had any other staff see me so am assuming all other staff will be working in their permanaent capacity.
Year 12 Farewell Assembly and Morning Tea
Thank you to all the staff who contributed to making the last day for Year 12 and their families such a success. Thank you in particular to the Front Office for the endless typing, compiling lists, writing cheques, worrying, floral arrangements etc. Thank you to Pete Fowler for the setting up of the hall and for just smiling when I would have another brain wave of how I wanted the stage arranged! To Susan and Shelley and to all their helpers - the morning tea was delicious and beautifully presented. Thank you to Joe for MCing the event and of course to all the staff who actually got these kids to the finishing line....
Well Done!
