Physical Characteristics (weather/climate)

The tiber river has a more ocean/tropical warmth to it. Winter weather rarely goes bellow 35-45 degrees Fahrenheit. In each month the average days of rainfall each month also rarely goes more than ten days.

Human Characteristics (history)

The Tiber River is a major river in the italian peninsula. It is a major river especially for rome because it is used as a port and goes from rome to the ocean. Many believe Rome was based first off the banks of the Tiber river itself. Many use the river for trade from up to 60 miles away.

Human Characteristics (man made features)

since the Tiber River is the main river for Rome, many bridges have been made for people to pass across. the Tiber River also flows from it's natural coarse into one of Rome's advanced sewer systems (Cloaca Maxima is its name). There are also lots of docks.

Human Characteristics (religion)

The majority of the Tiber River and the rest of Italy is Roman Catholic religion.

Catholics believe that truth is found in the Bible, as interpreted by the church, but also found in church tradition. Protestants (a member or follower of any of the Western Christian churches that are separate from the Roman Catholic Church and follow the principles of the Reformation, including the Baptist, Presbyterian, and Lutheran churches.) believe that truth is found in Scripture, as interpreted by the individual, and that the original writings of the authors of the Bible are without error. Catholics believe forgiveness of sin is achieved through church ritual, with the assistance of a priest in confession. Protestants believe forgiveness of sin is received through repentance and confession to God directly without any human intercessor.

Human Characteristics (political system)

Italy itself is a republic which probably means so is the community around the tiber river. Though Rome did change their system many times in history today Rome is a republic too.

Human Characteristics (economic activities)

The Tiber River was used for many years as a trade route from small communities to Rome. during the 5th century, B.C., the city of Rome and Veii had 3 wars for control of the Tiber River. which each war was ended only definitively (of a conclusion or agreement done or reached decisively and with authority.)

Human Characteristics (population distribution)

though there are many people that thrive off of the River, more farmers would live north of Rome on the tiber River. that way they can float and sell their goods by going down stream to the city. more businesses, entrepreneurs, tourists and well known people would be seen most likely closer to the ocean or Rome southwest part of the Tiber River.

Natural Resources

probably the most important natural resource would be the rivers freshwater.

The Tiber River has improved peoples lives greatly. Because of a major port on the river people can sell their goods without having to walk miles. The river can support rafts for local farmers to move lots of goods at one time. The fresh water of the river was given to the Roman people which could help them to become so powerful overall for so long. Tiber also goes farther inland which means people can move further into the peninsula while still being next to the coast. Therefore the Tiber River is very beneficial to the people of Italy.
