Our Germany Smore

This is a mixture of facts with graphs to help you delve into the diets and eating habits of Germany. These graphs give some of the main economic issues and just basic data in comparison with that of USA.

Why Would We Choose This Graph?

This graph, the Percentage of Unemployment, shows that Germany has a lot less jobs to offer, thereby, less people earn money to support and raise a family. Because of this, they can't afford to buy a variety of food items and have to find the cheapest things, or they have no money for food at all. Compared to USA, Germany has a lot of jobs that need to be created.

Why Would We Choose This Graph?

We chose this graph, Percentage of Taxes, because when compared to the USA, Germany has a lot less tax money that they have to pay. This would allow a bigger budget for food per week, meaning that the families can buy the more expensive, and better products. This would change their diets because they now have more options available.

Why Would We Choose This Graph

We chose this graph, Percentage of Obesity, because it shows how little obesity due to overeating there is in Germany when compared with USA. This means that many Germans cannot afford to buy the extra food it would take to become obese. It also suggests that families have less money to spend on too much food because they do not have a good paying job.

Why Would We Chose This Graph?

This graph, Money Spent on Food Per Week, shows that Germans have more money to use on food per week, then American's. The food in Germany could also be more expensive which would explain why they are forced to pay more for their food.

Why Would We Choose This Graph

The graph, Population in Millions, shows how Germany has a lot less people compared to the US. This can be a good and bad thing. It can be good because there are less people to feed and more people get more food. This could be a bad thing because there could be less farmers to help make and process the food that would be eaten. Therefore, there could be less food. This graph also helps to give a context to the other graphs so you can see just how many people there really are in Germany.

This graph, Percentage of Religions, shows that many Germans may be allowed to eat what ever they want, because they do not hold religious values that would ban them from eating certain types of food.
