Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
Thank you for a wonderful school year. It is a joy and honor to be your Principal at Baywood. I hope you have a wonderful summer and am already excited to welcome you back in the fall!
We have been working hard on planning for the upcoming year and I am excited to share our current class configurations for next school year with you here. Please keep in mind that class configurations are based on our overall school enrollment and are tentative up until the weeks before we start school in the fall. Our best thinking on our classes for next year at this point is the following:
Preschool: 1 class- Mrs. Lloyd-Moffett
Welcoming our NEW Special Education Preschool Program: 2 classes - Mr. Cooper
Kindergarten: 2 classes- Mrs. Fay & Miss Loeffler
1st Grade: 2 classes- Mrs. Taylor & Mrs. Dallas
2nd Grade: 2 classes- Miss Docouto/Mrs. May & Mrs. Newell
3rd Grade: 2 classes- Mrs. Dawkins & Mrs. Cappellano
4th Grade: 2 class- Miss Otzoy-Medrano & Mr. Curran
5th Grade: 2 classes- Mrs. Emery & Miss Stocking
K-2nd SDC: 1 class- Mr. Dale
3rd-5th SDC: 1 class- Mrs. Smith-Grove
To fill open positions created by our retirees, we have hired some amazing educators. I have shared a 'bio' on each of them below.
Please note that we will not be holding a Registration Day this summer. Rather, you will receive your InfoSnap enrollment information and all related school information electronically. Watch for your InfoSnap email on Wednesday, June 14. Once your Info Snap Registration is complete, you will receive your child's class placement via email on August 14th, the week before school starts. Note, class assignments will not be sent if InfoSnap Registration is not complete. Please contact our office if you need help with this process or need to use one of our computers.
Our annual Back to School information 'packet' will be emailed to you at beginning of August.
Have a wonderful summer!
Respectfully,
Mrs. Jennifer Dinielli

National parks free for fourth graders and their families
Summer is almost here and as the school year comes to an end for many students across the country, there's something families of fourth graders should know.
Fourth graders and their families are granted free admission to national parks and other federal lands for a full year with a fourth grade pass.
That means, if you have a current fourth grader rising into fifth grade, you can still get free admission through the summer.
Current third graders who'll be going into the fourth grade can get their free annual pass beginning in September.

Introducing our New Baywood Teachers
We are thrilled to have these two talented educators join our team of teachers at Baywood for the 2017-2018 school year! Please give them a warm Baywood welcome in the fall! They will be fabulous additions to our school community.
Miss Anderson lives in San Luis Obispo, and grew up in San Diego. Miss Anderson loves camping and bird watching! She is a familiar face at Baywood because she worked as a student teacher at Baywood in Mr. Dale’s class! She graduated from Cal Poly with a Master's Degree in Special Education. Miss Anderson says her favorite color is cerulean. She will be our Resource Specialist!
...and we are delighted to welcome Danette Costa as our Secretary Clerk! She is a very familiar face at Baywood because she is a Baywood, LOMS & MBHS mom! She has also been our PTA Membership Chair, Secretary, and a wonderful parent volunteer. Danette grew up in Hanford, CA. Her favorite color is green. She loves to hike with her family and is looking forward to spending summer with her family. When you are in the Baywood office, give her a friendly Baywood welcome!
Best Wishes to Some Baywood Friends!
Mrs. Bonnett will be retiring and enjoying hiking, camping, and being a grandma! We wish her many happy trails!
Mr. MacLeod will be entering into his first year of 'practice retirement. He will be taking care of his parents in Florida and enjoying the down time.
Mr. Banfield will be easing into retirement by taking advantage of a teacher perk allowing him to do a 'reduce workload' for one year while getting a full year of retirement service credit. He will be doing this in his wife's classroom at Pacheco before fully retiring next summer.
