Conference Updates

We now have over 200 people registered for our conference! You can still register on our conference website. The session variety is outstanding, with many new topics.

Why Not Come Early?

Todd Whitaker will be our keynote speaker on Sunday, September 17 at 5 pm. Because he has to leave right after his presentation, he has agreed to be available in the lobby from 4 pm on. You could come to the Sheraton, watch the end (or all) of the Colts game and mingle with fellow educators and Todd. We will have some of Todd's books available for autographing/purchase (cash or check only). Our exhibitors will also be available between 4 and 5 pm.

The hotel has extended the discounted rate through August 28.

This Week's Poll Question

Do you have advisory for your middle level students? Please answer in this google form. (Yes, we know this is not scientific, but it could be useful.) Feel free to continue any conversation about this on our Facebook, Twitter, or Voxer platforms.

Last week's poll question: 100% of schools who responded were doing something school-wide for the eclipse.

Article of the Week: Today's Classrooms Should Be about Flexible Teaching -- not Furniture

This article from EdSurge was written by a Voxer friend of mine, Chrissy Romano-Arrabito. The classroom pictured is from Laura Gilchrist in Kansas.

As many schools move toward personalized learning, flexible seating, blending learning, etc, what accommodations work best for students, physically and pedagogically?
