Good news! The 2021 yearbook is finally able to be pre-ordered. Our district has negotiated to make the price of the book only $30 for this year! You still have a chance to pre-order yours! This is the yearbook you will show your kids when you say "I made it through the 20-21 pandemic!"
There are 2 ways to purchase:
1. ONLINE. Just log onto the Vancouver School District Payment Website: https://wa-vancouver.intouchreceipting.com/. The username will be your students’ 6-digit ID number proceeded by 3-zeros (i.e. 000XXXXXX). The password is your students’ last name ALL CAPS. Then you just click on your students’ name when it comes up and go from there. Questions? Call the Business Office from 7:30-2:00 weekdays at (360) 313-4200.
2. IN PERSON. You can visit Skyview from 7:30-2:00 and pre-order a yearbook in the Business Office. All visitors are required to wear a mask and follow social distancing protocols.
Want to be sure you are in the yearbook? Check our website https://skyviewhsyearbook.weebly.com/ for fun surveys and other information.
Parents ads are available now through February 6th, or until sell-out.
Prices range from #170 for a full page to $40 for an eighth page.
Go to www.yearbookordercenter.com , enter school code 6886, and select your ad size. Then you can upload your photos, select a template, and craft your message! Once you are in the ad website, please use their customer service line for any questions or help.
Thanks for your support!
Attendance matters during remote learning!
New calls and emails will be made starting Monday, January 11th 2021, to inform families of students who have missed 7 or more class periods for the previous week. This is just an attempt to increase communication and partnership with parents, not a punitive measure. Attendance is important to the success of our students and we want ot help to remove barriers for students and families with these contacts.
Students are in attendance when they make contact with a teacher, access Canvas within 24 hours on school days, or attend their class Zoom sessions that are posted on their teachers respective Canvas pages. If there is no contact or access, it will be counted as an absence, and you will receive a phone call, email, and text message. If your child performs one of these actions and an attendance message is sent in error, please let us know.
Messages will be sent around 4:45 p.m. for the previous school day and on Mondays if a student did not participate on the previous Friday. Absences can be excused by notifying the school within three days. To excuse an absence, you can call 360-313-4220, email skyview.attendance@vansd.org or enter the absence in your Family Access account. You have 3 days to excuse an absence. Excusable reasons - Health Care Appointment, Illness, Family Activity, Family Emergency, Pre-Arranged Absence. You can check Skyward Parent Access to see what class is marked Unexcused.
In order for your student NOT to be marked absent for a period -
A- attend ZOOM class; and/or
B- log on to CANVAS for class that day; and/or
C- connect with the teacher

This is a unique opportunity for our athletic programs to lead and demonstrate how students can safely return to some form of in-person activities in a responsible and safe manner. Listed below are documents needed for participation and a description of the guidelines that will be followed. Skyview Athletics is thankful for the opportunity to connect with our athletes during these times.
Students will need to complete and turn in the COVID Screening and Waiver Form prior to participating.
Coaches and student-athletes will need to strictly adhere to the COVID Workout Guidelines.
Coaches will also screen student-athletes each day for COVID symptoms and take and record temperatures.
