Please let your child's teacher know right away if your student will not be in school next Thursday, Feb. 27, for Explore the Arts Day. Explore the Arts Day provides students with the opportunity to spend the day immersed in exploring a wide variety of art forms. Students will participate in this event on Thursday morning before early dismissal.

• Our winter parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m., and on Friday, Feb 28 from 9 am. to 12 p.m.
  

• Thursday, Feb. 27 is an Early Dismissal Day (Sprague 11:15 a.m., Half Day 12:00 p.m., Daniel Wright 11:30 a.m.) due to parent-teacher conferences. Morning early childhood and extended day students attend school; there is no school for afternoon early childhood students

• Friday, Feb. 28 there is no school for students due to Parent-Teacher Conferences

• Monday, March 2 is a non-attendance day for students

Parent-Teacher conferences provide a prime opportunity to discuss student learning. Research shows that when schools and families work together, children tend to do better in school. Winter parent-teacher conferences at Sprague School will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27 and Friday, Feb. 28. Sprague teachers are creating their own individual conference schedules by reaching out to Sprague families. If you have any questions regarding conference times or availability, please contact your child's teacher. Parent-Teacher conferences are also a great time to visit our Lost & Found for gloves, hats, lunch boxes, and more!

Please share this notice with friends and neighbors who have future preschoolers and kindergartners. District 103 kindergarten and preschool registration is underway. Kindergarten registration is for children who will turn 5-years-old on or before Sept. 1, 2020. The preschool program is for children ages 3, 4, and 5-years-old.

Parents are welcome to register their future kindergartener or preschooler any school day between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Registration takes about an hour to complete. For information about what to bring to registration, please read the school's news bulletin on registration.
