The role of an aerospace engineer
The job of an aerospace engineer is to design and build innovative technologies that aid in the future of flight. On any given day, an aerospace engineer could be building anything from new wing designs for an airplane or a rocket engine that functions more efficiently.
Starting salary
The average starting salary for an aerospace engineer with a bachelors degree is around $53,400. Those with a masters receive around $62,460. And those with a Ph. D. receive about $73,800.

Educational requirements
In order to be an entry level engineer, one must at least have a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, however with the low demand for aerospace engineers, higher degrees such as a masters or doctors degree are strongly advised.
