Happy December!
WOW!! THANK YOU!! Is all I can say about the great success from our Silent Auction. This year we raised more than DOUBLE last year! I can't thank you enough for your support in the auction to help fund projects, events, and teacher support. I am so proud to be part of North Pointe!
In other PTO Board news, we have an immediate need for a Secretary and Communications Chair. Essentially, the Secretary is responsible for taking minutes at our monthly board meetings and keeping record of attendees. The Communications Chair is solely responsible for our Facebook page as that is currently our only social media platform. If you are interested or would like more detailed information, please let me know.
As always, I am here for questions and feedback.
Thank you again for your continued support.

Penguin Patch
Items range from $2 to $12. There is an envelope that went home on Friday that we would encourage you to use if you are sending money for your child. Students are not required to participate. If you would like for your child NOT to participate, just let your child's teacher know.
We know the students are going to enjoy this fun holiday event!
Have you bought your child's yearbook yet?
Congratulations to our November Yellow Jacket Staff of the Month, Mrs. Megan Maness, our Reading Coach!
BUZZWORTHY STUDENTS!
Kayleigh Partain, 4th Grade
Kayleigh was waiting her turn in the lunch line when she noticed that there were silverware packets all over the ground by the silverware bucket. She took it upon herself to pick them all up to be put back in their bucket!
Great job, Kayleigh!
Izzy Lazarus, 4th Grade
Izzy Lazarus found $5 in the hallway before school. She immediately brought the money and turned it in to Mr. Rash. I am so proud of Izzy for doing the right thing even when nobody was watching.
Thank you Izzy for being a responsible and good citizen!
Emily Weidenhammer, 3rd Grade
Emily Weidenhammer, Reagan Hargett, and David Aiken have all been very intentional about helping keep the cafeteria clean in the mornings during breakfast. They help clean up trash and wipe down tables in the morning which is a HUGE help with keeping breakfast running smoothly. I am so thankful that they volunteer to help us out each and every day and I am so proud of them for being such good citizens!

Madelynn Bonner, 4th Grade
At the end of field day today Madelynn went around and picked up every piece of trash she could find on the field that other students had left behind.
Thank you for keeping our school clean, Madelynn!
Alex Harris, 5th Grade
Alex noticed that there were many students eating breakfast one morning and Mr. Rash and the teacher were having a hard time keeping up with wiping down the tables and seating students. Alex finished his breakfast and immediately asked if he could assist in wiping the tables and cleaning up the trash so that we could continue seating students. He was a huge help and since then he has offered on many other occasions to help Mr. Rash after he finishes breakfast.
Thank you Alex for taking initiative and for being willing to help keep our cafeteria clean and running smoothly!
Trace Miente, 5th Grade
As I was walking into school, I saw him helping one of my kindergarten friends get out of the car, then held her lunch box and lifted her bookbag up to let her get her long hair out from under the straps. He was so patient with her (because it was taking her awhile) and I just thought it was very sweet & extra buzzworthy!
MAP Report Coming Home!
As you know, last week your child participated in MAP testing for Reading and Math. These nationally normed tests are designed to give teachers information about how to instruct students in small groups.
Quarantined Students Update
The below guidelines are from our district for students and staff who do not have to quarantine.
If your child has been fully vaccinated (per guidelines below), he/she will not have to quarantine if they are found to be a close contact, even if they are not wearing a mask. Parents will be required to provide proof of vaccination.
Fully vaccinated: A person is considered fully vaccinated, ≥2 weeks following receipt of the second dose in a 2-dose series, or ≥2 weeks following receipt of one dose of a single-dose vaccine
Fully vaccinated : people and people verified (positive PCR or antigen test) to have been infected with COVID19 in the previous 90 days who were in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 but do not have COVID-19 symptoms do not need to quarantine unless they develop symptoms. Individuals may voluntarily choose to provide documentation of their full vaccination status to eliminate the need for quarantine.
Morning Drop Off
Please work with your children who have trouble getting out of the car by themselves. If you see that they may need additional time, please pull over and help them by walking them in the front. Thank you!
Thank you to "Say it with a Sign" for supporting North Pointe!
