Age of criminal responablility and consent

At 10 years old is the age that people expect you to be responible for your actions, if this happens then you are able to be punished for your actions. According to the Sexual Offences Act 2003 no one under the age of 16 cannot be sexually active. If you know or are someone that is having under age sex then you may be prosecuted with no defence. the punishments can include being placed onte sex offenders register and getting a criminal record.

Sexting is sending an image of yourself or someone else on text etc. This is against the law because the reciver of the image can save it and put it on social media sites or send it to others. This also means that they hold an inappropriate image of a child (if you or they are under the age of 18) which is against the law, thisincludes if they are your boyfriend or girlfriend. This also means that you can be prosecuted under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
