Morning Arrival at School
As parents we certainly understand that mornings can be difficult with children. Traffic in Fort Mill presents its own set of challenges, and we can only expect it to get worse over time. When students arrive at school just before 7:40 (or after), they still have to walk to their classroom, unpack, and go through morning procedures before they are ready to learn. This can put them 10-15 minutes behind each morning, and cause them to miss out on instruction. Please help us by anticipating these challenges and working to get your child to school in a timely manner, so that they can be in their classroom and ready to learn at 7:40. Ideally, if we can have students dropped off by 7:35 this would help to ensure students have time to walk to their classroom and prepare for class, so they are ready to learn by 7:40.
We will be turning our front sign around at 7:40. If you arrive and the sign is turned, you will need to park and sign your child in at the front office. Let's work together to make the most of instructional time and learning opportunities for students. Thank you!
