Teacher Appreciation Week, Covid-19 Updates for CDES, Priority Student Registration for Summer Learning
Hello, Chapel Families-
Thank you for such a FUN Teacher Appreciation Week and Spirit Week! We hope you enjoy the pictures posted on our Facebook page! Also, a huge THANK YOU to the CDES PTO for celebrating our staff with such a fun and creative bubbles theme. Our students also received a bubble wand from our PTO! A special thank you to Ashley Foster, Bernadette Golt, Taren Knopp, Julie Callahan, and Ashley Russ for a truly amazing week! Also, thank you to our Grandparents Club (Lois MacDonald and Carla Callahan) for the delicious desserts! Lastly, thank you to our CDES parents who donated the beautiful mason jar gifts. We truly live in an amazing community!
Last week Governor Hogan lifted the outdoor mask mandate in Maryland; however, after TCPS consultation with the Talbot County Health Department, Covid cases are on the rise in some TCPS elementary schools. Because of this, the Talbot County Health Department has advised TCPS to continue to require students to wear masks during recess. Students do continue to get two mask breaks while at school. CDES continues to implement all safety practices and procedures to keep students and staff safe.
TODAY is the last day for our priority students to register for summer learning at CDES! An email was sent out to parents of priority students with a flyer and online registration. If you do not register your child by May 7th, you will lose your reserved spot.
A reminder to our 5th grade parents to send in or email your Proof of Residency paperwork to Ms. Hughes by May 10th. This is requirement before your child is able to attend Easton Middle School.
Please note that no new bus transportation requests are being taken by the TCPS Transportation Department for the remainder of the year!
The LAST PK/Kindergarten registration date is May 28th! Please call 410-822-2391 to book your registration appointment ASAP.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Please Display Car Rider Signs!
If your child is a regular car rider, we require the pink car rider sign with your child's name to be displayed on your dashboard. This is done for safety reasons, as well as to help our car rider line run more efficiently. If you no longer have yours from earlier in the school year, please reach out to Ms. Leeson (tara.leeson@talbotschools.org) for a new car rider sign.
Thank you!
