Distance Learning Wraps Up
Good afternoon, Otsego families,
In our morning call with the health department and local superintendents, the health department reported 211 positive cases of COVID-19, which is up 20 from last Thursday. We continue to work with multiple agencies on plans for next fall. It is my hope to be able to communicate with our staff, students, and parents by early July or sooner on our plan to return to school in the fall as we continue to wait for guidance from the Michigan Department of Education and the Governor’s Office. We will continue to work on our three plans for next fall with stakeholders to ensure we are ready for fall 2020.
As our Continuity of Learning Plan comes to a close this week, please remember your student still has the next two weeks to complete any missed work. Our staff will be reaching out to students who may be missing work to remind them. Our instructional staff will be spending the next two weeks in professional development virtually getting ready for next fall.
On Friday, May 29 @ 7 pm we’ll be recognizing the Class of 2020 with a Senior Salute. The Senior Salute will be a car parade through our parking lots along Washington Street. Additional information can be found at www.otsegops.org/seniorparade/ and we hope you can join us by practicing social distancing as we honor these seniors.
I hope you and your family are doing well and we look forward to seeing you in the fall.
Sincerely,
Jeff Haase
