  • Hansen Fundraiser-pick up items on Tuesday, October 25th from 2:30-5:30 PM in the Red Smith Cafe.

  • A pumpkin will be coming home for your family to help decorate. Bring it back to school by Monday, October 24th. Have fun being creative!
  • If you have pumpkins or Fall objects that you would be willing to donate to 4K...let me know. We could use a variety of sizes of pumpkins for some learning activities. Thanks!

This Week In 4K (October 17th-20th)...

  • We will be sorting leaves by color, size, and shape.
  • We will continue learning about color words in a paper book Red Leaf, Red Leaf, which will be this week's new book added to our book bags.
  • One of the stories we will read is There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves By: Lucille Colandro. This author has many books written that your family might enjoy. Next time you visit the library, look for some more of her lovely books that have rhyming and repetitive text and hilarious illustrations.
  • Thursday, October 20th (weather permitting) we will go on a nature hike in the woods behind Red Smith. Please dress your child appropriately.

Letter B Activities...

1. Go for a bike ride.

2. Bounce and catch a ball.

3. Make a boat of tin foil and float it in the bathtub.

4. Chew bubble gum.

5. Look for birds.

6. Play catch with a balloon.

7. Go bowling.

8. Play baseball.

Please bring a show and tell object that starts with the letter Bb on Thursday, October 20th. Have your child practice sharing one detail about their object to a family member to prepare them for our Show & Tell community circle time.
