I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and survived the bitter cold. I want to thank all the families who came to Report Card Conferences and participated in our Family Bingo and Lollipop Fundraiser. If you were unable to attend conferences and would like to meet with the teacher, please call the school to make an appointment with your child’s teacher.

We have started the 3rd marking period, which means we are planning for the 8th grade graduation. A letter to the Grade 8 parents is forthcoming explaining the dues and activities. Graduation photos will be taken on March 3rd. All 8th grade students need to be in attendance as there will be no make-up days.

February is a celebration of Black History month, also known as African American History, and a time to honor and recognize all African Americans for their many accomplishments, achievements, contributions and the central role they played in U.S. history. This event grew out of Negro History Week, by noted historian Carter G. Woodson. Students will be celebrating by watching videos, researching, creating reports and working on a living museum.
