Bethel Hill's Centennial Celebration

Did you know Bethel Hill School has been educating students since 1921?!? We are so excited to celebrate this milestone all year! We want to collect stories, photos, memorabilia, etc. that we can share. Also, we are still in need of volunteers to serve on the Centennial Committee, please contact Mrs. Poole at or 336-599-2823 ext. 222 if you are willing to help. Spelling Bee Reminder and Update

We are excited to announce that the upcoming school Spelling Bee will now be held February 4, 2021! This is a change in date. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, our school bee will be a written bee that will allow for proper social distancing. Two students from each classroom will participate in the School Spelling Bee. At the School Spelling Bee, social distancing will be observed and face coverings will be mandatory. Due to COVID-19 regulations, spectators will not be allowed at this time but a live recording will be provided for families of participants.

Please help us in congratulating the following students. They are our 2021 School Spelling Bee Participants and Alternates. One of these students will move on to the virtual District Charter Bee on February 24. We are very proud of them!

Free Lunch Extended

We would like to remind parents that the Federal Lunch Program has extended the Summer Second Feeding Program. This means that all students at BHCS will continue receiving free breakfast and lunch for the remainder of the 20/21 school year.

Remote Learning Days and Inclement Weather

Winter is here and, as we have seen, inclement weather can potentially interrupt school operations. In an effort to prepare your child for remote learning when inclement weather is in the forecast, students may bring home materials such as Chromebooks, remote learning packets, etc. in preparation for remote learning. This does NOT mean they will definitely be remote, just prepared in case the need arises. We value our instructional time and appreciate all you do to ensure your child's success!
