8th Grade Parent Volunteers Wanted

Our 8th Grade Class is in search of parent volunteers to plan their 8th grade recognition party which is traditionally held after the Recognition Ceremony at the Barn. It is a non-school sponsored event, and will not happen if parents do not volunteer to put it on. Please contact the office if you are interested, and we will help get you started. There is a binder full of information of what was done and how in years past.

Headphones

Just a reminder that our students use headphones in their classes. Please make sure that your 7th/8th grade student(s) have a pair of headphones from home that they can take from class to class.

Student handbook

All of our students should have recently signed a behavior agreement form that acknowledges that they have reviewed the student handbook, and know what the behavior expectations are at HLMS. We would appreciate it if you could take a moment to review the student hand book (link below) as well.
Student Hand Book

Please take some time to review our student handbook with your student. We would particularly like you to remind your student of our expectations with regards to cell phones and appropriate technology use.

Cell Phone Policy

Just a reminder, students are not allowed to have cell phones out during school hours. We require them to be kept off and in their locker or backpack during the day. This includes breaks and at lunch. Please encourage your student to come to the office or their teachers if they have a concern or need help instead of reaching out to you via cell phone during the day. This way we can help make sure that all your student's needs are being met. We have a student phone available in the commons that is always available.
