The CCLC encompasses areas that include; Community Education and events, Middle School After-School Voyager’s Program, Middle School Student Connections Support Groups, CFAUSD Strengthening Families Program (SFP), and Public Relations.
Our Community Education opening fall registration day on September 21st had a record-breaking 1,355 participant registrations in just one day! If you have not had the opportunity to take a class with us yet, please take a look at our fall brochure. Our next Community Education brochure with new classes will be forthcoming in January! Communications and Marketing
This school year has been exciting and busy in the Public Relations Department. We have issued 17 new press releases announcing the outstanding accomplishments of our staff and students in addition to 25 news stories featured on television and in newspapers. These stories highlight so many of the excellent things going on in our district. Proof that we have a lot to be proud of and a great story to tell our community!
Our department would like to send a huge Thank You to all the staff who continue to send in their submissions to the CFAUSD social media account to be posted on our district Facebook and Instagram pages. Please continue to capture those “great moments” as well as those “everyday small moments” from your classes and buildings and send them by email to socialmedia@chipfalls.org along with one or two sentences describing what is the story behind the pictures for another great #MightyCardinal post!
Also, remember if you have a special event or want some extra photos taken, you can send an email or calendar invite to Kathy Strecker at streckkj@chipfalls.org to schedule this or call Kathy at ext. 3740.
Please remember to RSVP for the CFAUSD Employee Holiday Gathering on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 4 PM-8 PM at The View. This year’s employee-only event will look a bit different from past years. This is a free evening for all employees, with a special “musical” guest and prizes. Join your co-workers for a nice evening of fun and holiday cheer. CLICK HERE TO RSVP.

Voyagers Middle School After-School Program
Hello from the Voyagers Office,
Happy fall everyone!
We’ve been busy, busy, busy here at the Voyagers Program the last month with our wide variety of after-school classes. Lots of growing, learning, smiles and laughter have been happening on Tuesday and Thursday nights, right here at the Middle School!
We started out the year with a bang, by offering 8-10 different classes each night. Some of these included chess, Dungeons & Dragons, Robot School, baking, crafting, and a musical! Wow! I don’t know if that’s a record, but it sure was great seeing all of the students interested in the classes we worked so hard to put together.
We also added a NEW class, called Melody Masters! This is a chance for students to get private instruction time on their instrument with a UWEC music student. What a great opportunity for our CFMS band members!
We are so thankful to be able to partner with community members and CFMS staff to bring our students these fantastic opportunities for continued learning and FUN!
All my best,
Erin Roberts

Student Connections
Student Connections support groups have been continuing this month and have gotten our students off and running on the right foot this fall!
Our goal is to give our students the tools they need to make healthy, smart choices that will contribute positively to the overall environment at our amazing school. We offered a total of 13 different groups to our students and started our first sessions on October 9th.
These groups are free of charge, completely optional, and are available during the school day for anyone that would like to join. Some of the groups that we have been holding for our students focus on confidence, self esteem, and feeling comfortable with yourself, the positive aspects of ADHD, mindfulness and relaxation, as well as techniques to manage stress and disorganization.
Our facilitators are here to offer the best support possible and help our students through the sometimes tough Middle School years. We are thankful to have staff and community partners that see how important these support groups are to the overall health of our school.
For a full list of groups, and the topics they cover, please visit the CCLC Website.
All my best,
Erin Roberts
Strengthening Families Program
The fall Strengthening Families Program (SFP) currently has eleven families completing this FREE eleven-week virtual program! The fall cohort started on September 25th and families will participate in a fun graduation ceremony on December 7th! Survey results from previous graduating families have been very positive with 100% of our families recommending this program to others! Please look for registration information to be released for our next SFP cohort on January 3, 2024! The winter cohort runs from January 22nd- April 4th! We are very thankful that this programming has been made possible through the Mayo Hometown Health and AWARE grants.
I want to give a big THANK YOU to our fall SFP coaches; Amy Erickson, Deb Christensen, Katelyn Hahn, Lindy Pischer, Jodi Haupt, and Wendy Hanson (SFP Coordinator)! Thank you for helping to support the families in our community! We appreciate you!
If you would like to learn more about the Strengthening Families Program, please reach out to Wendy Hanson at hansonwj@chipfalls.org or Ann Zenner at zennerak@chipfalls.org.
