Hanawalt Community Notes
A Week in the Arts is Next Week!
The week promises to bring some amazing artists and experiences to our Hanawalt students. A Book of Artists will be sent home this week, but you can also check out the PDF here to learn about our artists. The line up is pretty great!
You can use the schedule here to figure out which artists your child will spend time with. Think about it this way: whatever Special your child experienced this Wednesday 4/13 is the same Special/workshop that they will have next Monday 4/18. Whatever Special they have on Thursday 4/14 is the Special they have on Tuesday 4/19, and of course, whatever Special they have on Friday 4/19 is their Special for Wednesday, 4/20. There will be exceptions for some 4th graders. The 4th graders are being split into 3 groups instead of 2 classes. The kids in the extra group will not match up with their typical Specials rotation. In addition, Ms. Alberts will work with her students to find the workshops that best fit them.
Finally, we will end the week on Thursday 4/21 with an all school assembly! This will feature the Brazilian Twins and Bridges to Harmony, performance group from Roosevelt. If you were able to take your children to Roosevelt’s musical, Mamma Mia, last weekend, your child may recognize some of the performers!
