In class...
*READING: Students are wrapping up punctuation practice. We are working to recognize punctuation in writing, use it in writing, and use correct voice inflection / expression when reading.
*WRITING: We are working on writing longer, meaningful sentences, as well as forming letters carefully and correctly when writing so others can understand our writing.
*CHARACTER: OCTOBER means RESPonsibility!! We have been talking about rights and responsibilities and what we can do to be good citizens in school and at home. Following rules, helping others, and doing chores are just a few of these examples.
*SCIENCE: This week we will begin talking about creepy crawlies to work on making claims and using evidence to back up our findings. This is an integral piece of the STEAM way of solving problems.
